⚡ Quick Buy/Quick Sell: Take Full Control of Your Trades
Photon’s Quick Buy and Quick Sell features are designed to give you complete control over your trading experience, letting you fine-tune every aspect of your transaction for speed, efficiency, and protection. Here’s a breakdown of the customizable settings available to you:
🔄 Slippage Tolerance
Slippage determines how much the execution price of a trade can differ from the expected price due to market volatility.
Negative Slippage Example: You attempt to buy $XYZ at $10.00, but your order executes at $10.50. This reduces your buying power.
Positive Slippage Example: You place an order at $10.00, but it executes at $9.50. You gain more tokens for less money.
Set your slippage carefully to balance execution speed and price accuracy.
⛽ Max Gas Limit
This defines the maximum gas you’re willing to spend on a transaction.
If a pending transaction exceeds this threshold, it will not be processed.
It acts as a cost safeguard to prevent unexpected spikes in gas fees.
🚀 Priority Fee (Tip to Validators)
This is an extra fee added to incentivize Ethereum validators (miners) to prioritize your transaction over others.
A higher priority fee means faster confirmation, especially during network congestion.
🛡️ Private Transaction Mode (Enabled by Default for Quick Buy)
When this is on:
Your trade is routed through a private validator, not broadcasted to the public mempool.
Protects against sandwich attacks and front-running.
Helps reduce gas costs on failed trades, since failed transactions in private mode don’t consume gas.
🎯 Bribery Amount (For Private Transactions Only)
Set a custom ETH bribe to the block builder for placing your transaction at the front of the line.
Helps secure the best price by accelerating execution.
No bribe is deducted if the transaction fails—zero risk on failure.
🔍 Summary: Priority Fee vs. Bribery
Transaction Type | Uses Priority Fee | Uses Bribery |
---|---|---|
Public Transaction | ✅ Yes | ❌ No |
Private Transaction | ❌ No | ✅ Yes |
Choose your transaction type based on your need for speed, privacy, and protection against market manipulation.
